European Bachelor in Fashion Styling & Communication
I’m currently on my third year of the Fashion Styling & Communication program. I consider my experience at Accademia Del Lusso to have been a deeply fulfilling and creatively stimulating one. The school wasn’t just a place where I learned, but also a way for me to be exposed to a variety of professional environments and figures.
The capable and helpful teaching staff was an integral component of my academic journey. Aside from teaching, they made sure to give valuable advice based on their own real-world experience. Each teacher is different. Each has their own distinct work history and life experience. The teachers I appreciated the most were the ones who, through their lessons, were able to truly convey their passion and their love for the fashion world.
Having applied for the Fashion Styling & Communication program, I am developing skills that range from organizing photoshoots to edting, copy writing and press relations. When I first started, I wasn’t sure exactly what I wanted to do. I wasn’t fully aware of my own abilities or the available professions that make up the fashion industry.
Throughout my academic journey, I managed to become aware of my own abilities and potential, my strengths and weaknesses. I had the chance to start an internship at MM Company, as one of the creatives responsible for content creation for their new website. It was an opportunity for me to experience the dynamics at play in my chosen field and an all-around great experience.
One of the things that impressed me the most about Accademia is the vibe there is at school; friendly and laid back while at the same time very professional. In Accademia everyone, from the staff members to the academic directors, is always ready to listen and help whenever necessary.
Thanks to Accademia, I have had the chance to go to a variety of different catwalks, presentations and exclusive events throughout Milan Fashion Week. I have also had the chance to learn first-hand what it’s like to work backstage, having taken part in castings and fittings for numerous fashion shows.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone I met along the way who made my journey such a memorable and exciting one.
